It’s still quite warm but it’s supposed to cool off today sometime and when it does I will be soaping and pouring candles. I have to get a move on for the Fall sales.

Thanks for the post, Vernon Lowe

Going to the movies is something I really enjoy doing, especially on the weekends. This is when my fiance doesn’t have work and we can enjoy our weekend without any interruptions. New movies usually come out on Fridays at our local theater, so we can choose from the latest movies. We hardly ever go to the movies the day the movie comes out since there is almost always a long line. When we go on Saturday or Sunday, the line is a little shorter and the theater is not as crowded. It is easier to enjoy a movie when less people are around. My fiance and I typically watch action or comedy movies at the theater and will occasionally watch a romantic comedy. Whichever movie looks really good in the previews is usually the movie we will go see. There will be times when we can’t decide which movie to see, so we will watch one on Saturday and then another one on Sunday. This way, we get to see both of them! We always leave our house at least two hours early, set our Adt home security alarm, and head to the movie to make the front of the line. We like to be able to choose from any seat before everyone else enters the theater. This helps avoid not being able to see over someone’s head.

The new replacement Vet is an absolute asshole and I will never ever take any of my pets in to see him ever again!

Our appointment was for 5pm – we didn’t get in to see him until almost 6:30 pm! Then he had the nerve to call my SweetPea nasty – simply because he had a wet belly. Which, I might add is from them spot that he has licked raw and also one of the reasons we called for an appoitment. What a shitface, honest! Then he doesn’t even tell us what he may think is wrong. Just gave SweetPea a steroid and an antibiotic injection and send us on our way along with a cone to put on SweetPea and he didn’t even explain on how to put it on. We never needed a cone on any of our pets before so we have no clue. We were rushed out so I didn’t even have a chance to ask. I told him, on our way out that I will be seeing the other Vet in office on SweetPe’as follow up in two weeks and he needs to find a new job because he sucks as a Vet! Oh, I was absolutely livid and let them all know, too!

So, as stated, we were send home with a cone that SweetPea is supposed to wear 24/7 – problem with that is – he won’t be able to eat with that thing on. I’m gonna call up today and see what they say. The receptionists there are always nice and helpful and up until yesterday I was always happy with the treatments my pets received. Our old Vet Dr. Kellogg had a brain aneurysmn a while back ( must have happened right after Baby FatCat got sick a couple of months ago ) and so they hired this new guy – the asshole. Dr. Kellogg is on the mend however and was in for a staff meeting yesterday and I hoping and praying that he will come back. He is the best!
I know one thing for sure. My pets will NOT been treated by that asshole of a vet and if the other vet in the office can’t see us then we’ll have to find a new vet. Until Dr. Kellogg returns, if he returns. Simple as that.

I tell you, after the fabulous cool weather we had last week, this heat feels even worse. Even with the humidity at a lower level – it feels nasty! Mother Nature sure is throwing us for a lopdy loop this year, eh? On top of that we have Hurricane Earl moving in. I am not worried about it though being we live nowhere near the coast line of CT – we’re in the west near the NY and Mass. Borders. I just hope that it brings tons of rain and pushes this heat out of the state. It’s September 1st and I am ready for Fall! Bring it!

If I didn’t have all of this work lined up I would be veggin’ out on the bed with the AC on full blast, my Asus laptop on, watching a movie

I am so in the mood for a good movie.

But since I can’t do that right now I will just keep melting away in this dreadful office with a piddly fan blowing on me, trying to get some work done. Come On, Autumn!

I have noticed that over the last week, our big boy SweetPea has started to withdraw, his appetite is not what it was and yesterday he lost control over his bladder. I called the vet asap and we have an appointment for Wednesday at 5pm. I don’t want to go. I am scared. On top of this, our regular vet is no longer practicing. He’s had a brain aneurysmn. I would feel better was he still there. Because I know that he would try everything in his power. But with this new vet – I am just scared. I do know that SweetPea is not good. Not at all. I am expecting the worst, while hoping for the best.

I have no clue how we are going to pay for this visit to the vet but I don’t care right now. My babies come first.

I read up online a bit and everything is pointing to a Kidney Infection. Which is treatable. If that is, in fact, what it is.

I just want to scream. I am at my limit emotionally and physically. I don’t know how much more I can take or how much more I must take before having a mental breakdown.

Running away sure sounds good right about now!

Another rant there but I’ll spare you. So we’re at HD and hubby makes a bee line for the bathroom fixtures aisle. I am thinking to myself …wtf…are we not here to grab copper pipes? So I mosey on down the center lane, towards the aisle where they keep the piping, glance down the bathroom fixtures aisle and see hubby looking at toilets!

We just replaced ours. Why is he looking at toilets?

Against my better judgement…I head over and asked him why he was looking at toilets and got the dumbest answer ever.

He said: “I dunno”

I just turned and walked away.

I don’t know what it is with men and entering a hardware store or home improvement store. They are reduced to drooling idiots!

This is going to be a long week!

So today we decided that we’d fix the water leak that of course is our problem since it is on our property, near the foundation, and had to stop – after digging up the damn front, because we could not shut the water off! We were able to shut it off inside the house but we not able to shut it off in between the house and the road because the shut off is like 6 feet down and we couldn’t reach it!
Figures! Really!
So now we have to call water works tomorrow and have them come out to shut off the line, fix it as fast as we possibly can, then have them come back to turn it on again. Hubby is talking a day – I am not so sure. We’ll probably be without water longer than just day. In this heat. OMG.

I am rather upset at hubby over this because he could have done this last week when the weather was fabulous. It was in the 60′s and perfect for a job such as this.
Plus the fact that he is sitting on his ass now. He has to go and dig up the rhodedendron on the corner of the flowerbed so he can get to the pipe. Instead he is sitting on his ass. Pisses me off. I am tired of him always pushing shit off. This needs to be asap. They put a new meter in and this water leaking is going on that meter. What the hell is he thinking?

ARGH.

Guest post written by my buddy Brian Workman

I love to watch the show 20/20 on my Satellite TV. I really enjoy all of the murder stories that they have on this show. They are always showing different things that have been going on lately. It puts me in a good mood when you see them catch the bad guy at the end of the show. They also have other things that are going on such as current concerts and other news. It is always a long story about the same topic. It is so in depth that you really get into the story and care about what is going on with the people involved in it. This is one reason that I love this show so much. I don’t always catch this show on, but anytime I see it I enjoy the stories they talk about on the show. I have honestly never sat down to watch this and not liked the story. The last one I watched was about the murder of Natalee Holloway and how this case is going right now. It is such a sad story.

I love Autumn! I love the warm days and crisp cold nights. I love the foliage and the gently swaying leaves as they fall. I love the whole fell about it.

In my perfect world it would be Autumn year round!

The few orders I get over at OPT are all in Autimn Scents, which makes filling them that much easier for me. I love filling orders that have my favorite scnets in them. Like Pumpkin Cheesecake or Pumpkin Cookie Crunch – Autumn Lodge or Banana Nut Muffin.
It makes for a day of droolin’! *lol* But I am loving it!

Starting tomorrow we’re going back to the 90′s and I am not diggin’ it at all. They are talking 4-5 days with low humidity. We’ll see about that. I’ll hunker down and wait for it to pass. Sigh

<This guest post from Rafael Hodge

I love watching the Tyra Banks show. I feel like she is speaking directly to me when she has her daily topics of discussion. Every day at the same time I can flip on my www.expertsatellite.com satellite television and have Tyra give me some insightful wisdom. She always speaks about the issues that everyone wants to know about but no one feels like asking. Most of these issues are uncomfortable or something that doesn’t come up in normal conversations. She has a way of making something that’s usually a social taboo to be completely normal and acceptable. She has been on the air for some time now and she has helped to get me through high school and a whole slew of dramatic problems. She discusses anything from family problems to dating problems which is everything a teenage girl really needs. I feel more comfortable in my own skin because even though Tyra has been a super model and a TV show host it appears she knows what I’m going through. If Tyra has overcome the same things I’m going through right now and made it to where she is today I certainly have hope that I will also be successful and happy.
